A hot towel shave is a traditional straight razor shave where hot towels soften the beard first, followed by shave oil, lather, razor passes and a moisturizing finish. At Fade Society it is $30 for 30 minutes.
The towels open the pores and soften coarse hair so the blade glides instead of dragging, which is what prevents irritation.
